my oh my, time has flown since my last post. if you haven't noticed yet, all my photos from our trip to New York are up in my gallery now, and i just added descriptions of the last two days as well. since the trip, i've been enjoying a relaxing summer here in austin. i started a new job on june 1st. it's primarily data entry for the Mechanical Engineering dept's Faculty Annual Reports. woohoo! but it's only half-time, and it's extremely convenient, and i get to wear t-shirts and jeans, and my co-workers are friendly, and i don't ever have to worry about my job when i'm at home, so all-in-all, it's a great deal.

in my unusually large amount of free time, ethan and i have been having a lot of fun together: going to see movies with our passes (thanks mom), cooking dinners together, going to shows, renting tons of movies (thanks paul)... ethan's getting cookin' on the cloud ceiling recording, too, so i've started a website, which i hope to have up sometime soon. i've also arranged my work schedule so i can keep going to happy hour at el arroyo on thursdays, where i've been getting to hang out with my beauties julie b. and angela and with some fun combination of ethan, rob, wes, shar, chris, and tess. dollar margaritas + friends = good times. oh yeah, and one thursday there i ran into my dorm roommate from freshman year, Kasey, who i thought i would never see again and who has become even more awesome since i lived with her. so that was nice. plus baby bennett, my mom, and patrick rhett+elaine have all invited me and ethan to hang out with them recently. props to them and their excellent taste. : D

in very recent news, i just got back from a great weekend in wichita falls. i realized that not-too-distant trips are totally possible with my fridays off, so i drove up to see my dad and darla and page, half as a father's day present, and half as a present for me. : ) page is just so great. she's so cute and smart and fun, and i think she had almost as much fun with me as i did with her. i've posted my handful of photos from this weekend in the gallery, so go see how adorable she is.

what else, what else? ethan got a new road bike that he's been riding all over hyde park and campus and downtown, and i'm going nuts wanting one too. his bike is so amazingly easy to move on, it's shocking. i'm hoping to get one so i can join in the fun and get some exercise while i'm at it. in that vein, ethan and i thinking about taking the "adult fitness swimmer" lessons together later in july.

so, all-in-all, life is good. i'm sure there's more to say, but it's time to get to bed. i'll try to post a little sooner next time. ; ) all you people out there--don't be strangers. i've got more free time than i've had in a *long* time, so gimme a call if you want to grab a bite to eat or hang out or get coffee or whatever. all yall that have graduated and/or are moving away have made me want to cherish the time i do have with you guys. so call me sometime, ya hear?

okay, goodnight, everybody. hope you're all doing well.
