Album: Visiting Critters (10/31/06) First, a possum got into the garbage bags from the LBJ Halloween party I had hosted a few days earlier. Then, the next morning, the resident mouse got himself cornered in the bathroom by Owen. I had to leave for class before I could catch the little guy, but when I got back, he was huddling over the bathtub drain, apparently exhausted but alive. I was able to just pick him up, put him in a box, and take him outside. He was so worn out that I gave him some Cheddar Bunnies and peanut butter and built him a twig ladder to climb out. Album: Amherst in October (10/13/06-10/17/06) On Saturday, October 14th, 2006, Ethan and I celebrated our -1st anniversary with a wonderful day in Northampton, MA. We visited the neat shops, had a fantastic dinner at Del Raye, and saw Jenny Lewis play at the beautiful Academy of Music Theatre. Later, we met up with friends and got ice cream at Herrell's. The next day, everyone got together for an outdoor pumpkin carving contest that exuded "fall in New England." : D During my last full day in MA, Ethan and I went back to Northampton for another lovely meal and a film (Half Nelson) at the Pleasant St. Theater. Album: Trip to Brown (03/23/06-03/25/06) To help me decide between Brown's and UT's public policy/affairs grad programs, I attended the Taubman Center's admissions day in Providence, RI. I learned heaps about the program, met lots of lovely people, and absorbed as much of the school and town as I could in two days. The first photo was taken the day I arrived, the next 57 or so were taken during the admissions day itself, and the last 17 or so were taken from the "SciLi" on the day I headed home. Album: Red River Ski Trip II (01/12/06-01/13/06) Best trip ever? Yep. We just keep getting better, and so do our trips. And yes, that last picture shows both rooms we've stayed in at the Alpine Lodge, this year on the left and two years ago on the right. Last change: 11/21/09

Album: Cubic eb (12/28/06) What happened here was very typical: one of us starts by doing something ridiculous, then the other notices to the mild embarrassment of the first, and finally the first embraces the absurdity and just runs with it. Last change: 11/21/09

Ethan sent me a lovely bunch of roses on my birthday. After my mom took me to dinner, I had her take a photo of me with the roses so eb could see how pretty they were from Massachusetts. (12/15/05)

Album: Thanksgiving in NYC (11/25/05) For the third time in six months, Ethan and I went to New York, a place I had never been until this year. We got to meet Curt & Elizabeth's new son, Joel, and had a great time at the American Museum of Natural History. If I ever have a part-time job in New York, that's where it'll be. Album: Isabelle the Argiope (10/04/05) Although I was scared at first, I soon grew attached to this beautiful spider in my backyard and named her Isabelle. Sadly, a few days later, she was gone, never to be seen again. Last change: 11/21/09

Album: Megatrip to Amherst (08/12/05-08/29/05) The journey was long, fun, and at times bittersweet. Ethan and I made a trip out of moving him to Amherst, spending a night each in Memphis, Louisville, and Columbus and several each in Washington DC, New York, Boston, and Amherst. Many thanks to our hosts, Elizabeth & Curt and Zac. The few photos I took are mostly from DC, with a few from New York. Last change: 11/21/09
