Album: The New Bass Amp (05/24/04)
Ethan finally got the bass amp of his dreams, after much searching and scavenging. Hooray Ampeg, you big-ass mother.

I decided it was time for a change. The red was decided well in advance, but the super-shortness was more of a last-minute impulse. I took about a million photos to document it, and I've thrown in a Before Picture for comparision's sake.

Album: Spring Break Trip to Angelfire, NM (03/13/04)
In the wee hours of the morning, Ethan and I headed out towards Angelfire, NM, in a caravan with our friends Julie B, Jeff, Kang, and Jou. For some reason, the photos from the drive out there are the only ones I got of the whole ski trip. All are Ethan's masterful work.

Album: Red River Ski Trip (01/11/04)
For Ethan's Christmas present, I planned a ski trip for us, since he'd been so excited about going again after Spring Break 2003. We skiied 4 days and stayed 5 nights in Red River, NM, and it was wonderful. The snow was good, the slopes were empty, and the locals were friendly.

Album: Houston Weekend (10/19/03)
Pretty much every weekend during my three semesters at JSC either I would come home to Austin or Ethan would come visit me in Houston. Austin offered more entertainment, but Houston offered more time together, since work restricted my schedule more. Here's a few photos from a quiet Houston weekend.

I recently saw these in Patrick Rhett's gallery and nabbed them because they make me laugh. I think this was the second year Ethan and I went to the ACL festival (and of its existence). Jeebus pete, I love this town.

Album: Hello Protege 5, Goodbye Civic (08/12/03)
After months of research on vehicles and negotiation, and after hours of smacking down the Mazda salesperson, I was thrilled to finally own my new Protege 5, especially for ~$3500 less than the sticker price. Parting with my beloved but dying Honda Civic was bittersweet, however, so Ethan and I came back with a camera and Bryan to capture some parting shots of our old friend.

Album: The Beard, some Shenanigans, and a Shave (06/25/03)
This is the product of the most time Ethan has ever put into growing a beard. He agreed to some documentation before he shaved the itchy thing off, and roommate Bryan got in on the fun.

Album: The New Rickenbacker (06/03/03)
Ethan's parents made their son's dreams come true for his birthday that year by way of a magnificent Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 360 with vintage pickups and a vintage case. Here it is, brand-new, the day it arrived.

Whenever I'm moving, I often wish (typically a bit too late) that I had some photos to remember how the place looked while it was my home. Here are the last-minute shots of my first Houston apartment at the end of the first semester I lived in it. The rest of this day's photos are all of Owen and can be found in his album.

Album: Sad Civic (04/26/03)
This particular weekend I came home from Houston to see Ethan, so naturally that was the ideal time for a crime spree at our apartment complex. The delightful burglars shattered my window and stole my stereo, some $700+ in CDs, my umbrella, my crappy but intensely loved fuzzy black coat (see Exhibit A), and my NASA mentor's nice road bike from the trunk. She had ridden it up to Austin in the MS150, and on Sunday I was going to drive it back to Houston for her. So much for that plan.

There's not a lot to do in Clear Lake on the weekends. So Ethan entertained himself by taking photos of me while I filed my nails; I entertained myself by playing along. Also, check out the contents of the computer screen. Let's see, how many years now are we going to live like this...?

Album: 60's Popstars that Never Were (02/21/03)
I can't remember the details anymore, but I know Ethan and I were headed to a party. I think that's why we dressed like long-lost 60s rock gods, but then again, maybe that's just how we roll.
